Case 2021: Accenture

Technology is everywhere in the world. Technology is therefore naturally a part of this year’s Case Competition, where Accenture will present cases that imitates real risks in the market and aims to solve problems by utilizing technologies.

Whether you consider yourself somewhat an expert within technology, or you are simply curious about tech, you are highly encouraged to sign up for the Case Competition.

“AAU Case Competition is a window for Accenture to explore the great mindsets of the participants. It is also a window for you to discover what Accenture is (all about). We are really looking forward to experiencing your considerations about technology and solutions to the cases” Intelligent Engineering Services (IES), Accenture Technology

The Three Cases

Technology can enable new opportunities, optimize and improve existing solutions and technology to promote innovation.  The three cases all challenge you to consider risks and opportunities, to apply new technologies and to be cautious about/to consider when technology is applicable/beneficial.  You can apply for two of the three cases, but you will be selected for only one of them.

B1: Strategy & Business

Strategy & Business: Imagine that you are a consultant in a company. You are aware of how disruption can make or break the industry that they are in. Your mission is to develop a strategy that ensures the company’s survival. The strategy could include;

  • Which initiatives would you suggest to keep the competitive advantage?
  • How might you even become the disrupter yourself?

B2: Applied AI

Applied AI: Choose one or more of the UN sustainable development goals and give a solution by applying AI technologies such as; speech recognition, computer vision, or machine learning. Solutions can consist of a business concept and/or a technical concept of the solution itself. That is up to you.

  • How does the chosen technology help the goal?
  • What values/problems are created/solved?
  • Why is this a good idea?

B3: Robotics

Robotics: Consider robots such as those of Boston Dynamics and how such technologies can be used to create value. Think of a business or an industry.

  • Where could the implementation of physical robotics create the most value in relation to the effort of acquiring this transformation?

 Remember: Every study can solve the cases! More information will be handed out on the case days. But this information is only to show you what you are to work with.
